Pretty much all of the Swords of X and Y are fairly pricey, and this one has only had Modern Horizons Timeshift and Secret Lair reprints to soften the price

Solitude can take care of many threats that are just too big for Prismatic Ending, most notably Murktide Regent but also things like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, and so the two work very well together
